Oh my, that is just the most lovely little chick. I really love it's color and pattern. Look at your sweet Stella. What a good mom!

It's so nice to be home. Work has been crappy this week, following the when it rains it pours method. My belly is feeling like a rock and my tail bone area is really aching. I have to go collect then wash eggs so I have enough for my customer that comes today too. After that I am hoping to spend some time sitting down.
Lynzi-- nice chicks!
I know the feeling. The feeling of accomplishment is nice and gratifying.I have been sitting since 11......Mowing! Now to go finish, then riding my horse with a friend at 5....I like it when I accomplish a lot!!
Nice Find! I'm still waiting on my DH to bring home cartons from work - they're not the 12 dozen, they're just the sheets but I can at least cut them and stack them in the my fridge. Still hasn't done it!My newspaper customer who was throwing away all those mason jars a few months ago surprised me again this morning. They were throwing away 31 dozen size egg cartons! I jumped out of the car and grabbed those up. I love getting out before the trash guys on Thursday!
I wish I had more eggs to hatch! My black hen hasn't been much of a layer. I'm glad I got at least one hatched chick from her though! My splash hen isn't laying since she's sitting on 4 eggs. I wish I could hatch some of these larger eggs but they're not fertile now that Duncan is in the penalty box. ~Meant to add - I think my two BRs are about to go broody as well! They're fanning out their feathers and being so mean to everyone! One went after my dog today and made him yelp the loudest he's ever yelped before. They sure are mean little buggers!Does anyone have any eggs they want hatched? These two broodies are stubborn. I may give them eggs and then just get rid of the chicks. I suppose I could try moving them to another coop or in with the Dels.
Meant to comment to YOU before about the dogs. (I really need to stop reading on my phone while I'm sitting out in the sun. LOL) This is really cool, hope it works out well and they work hard for you!Breella great find! I garbage pick all the time Rancher I'm making a cart for the dogs to pull to make it easier on me. I've been working them with weights n of course running so now that they are 2 they are ready for some real work!
my hatchery leghorns are super mellow. They get along with everybody. Storey's doesn't have a very good reputation for being accurate anywaysCertain breeds are more hyper than others. This is why when I read Storey's I decided not to get Leghorns.
They are treasure trove people!
