NY chicken lover!!!!

Howdy Ohio!

I see you like Silikies! I have three left from my first hatching about five weeks ago (sold several of them) and I am anxiously awaiting the hatch any day now of the next 8-10 that were fertile. I'm excited about the colors - I have some Blue Andalusians and Nankins hatching around the same time - do you think the Silkies will snub the otheres?

Hmmmm.... I'd still be suspicious. I've personally looked into importing as many others here have & the costs to do it legally are prohibitive to say the least. Someone right here in the BST section has Yokohama eggs. I would feel safer going with them. Just my 2 cents.

You will have to direct me to them if these don't hatch - I'd like to keep a few maybe.

I agree with your two cents and if you added more that would be just fine. I DON"T like sneaky and it made me pretty upset to find out the through my ignorance this guy might be endangering our flocks.

The picture I just added is of my two precious Silver Phoenix that hatched a couple days ago. Not a great photo with the brooder light and they are very hard to hold still so I had to snap fast.

Candled the eggs from Alabama.

1 silki and 7 of the others were clear. So that's 16 out of 24 are good. Not sure which ones they are. BBS or RIR so I'll just have to wait. 8-10 more days. It's gets harder with each day. Thing is even then they may not all hatch.

Funny Claudia said that only two of the twelve I took down were clear and mine went through the x-ray machine. Hers were hand checked. But my Nick is a potent rooster. Don't know how old he is either but he knows his stuff that's for sure.

I think too that all the eggs I took were from only one or two hens. Non hatchery Dels.
