NY chicken lover!!!!

Love 'em! Especially the frizzle!

The frizzle is Peppermint. I have 4 chicks from her and my old MF roo Remington. I don't know if you remember Java Girl but that's who has Rem now. Now I have Peppermint I breeding with that roo there- Max. Not sue if I will get to hatch any chicks from them though as Peppermint has stopped laying and isn't acting right. She also has a lump over her right eye that I have no idea what it is. hopefully she pulls through as she is my first frizzle and the only one who produces frizzles in colors I like and keep. I have sold all my other frizzles except a red hen and Peppermints youngest chicks.

Awww that's so sad. Hope it's nothing serious.

When you feed back eggs to the chickens do they have to be cooked or can you blend them and mix it in with their feed? Reason asking is because I was going to throw all these eggs in the
They will probably be a little icky after 5 days of incubation. Should cook them I think.

That's what I was thinking, but would they still be ok to even cook after 5 days of incubation? Or is the safest bet just to chuck 'em?

I would think the smell wouldn't be the greatest. Any duds I had got a good fling out into the junkyard weedpatch.

Hi, anybody out there have Columbian Rocks? I think I have two boys I don't need. They are from an old line, Dick Nieuwland in Canada. I was hoping to get a hen to breed to my Silver Penciled Rock roo. Does anyone have Silver Penciled or Columbian Rocks?

I would crack open and see how they smell if too bad i would pitch. Any eggs i put in bator eathe hatch or garbage for me. Bu i always cook eggs when giving them to the ladies. I use blender to mix my eggs broccoli red pepper flakes galic powder and what ever else i feel like adding. Shells come out about size of the round end of a straight pin. But they tend to settle in blender and pan so i rinse blender with little water and put in pan also. Then just stir eggs alot to move shell around.

Hi Sherpa.........
Although I have 2 Columbian Rock pullets (hopefully about to lay), I am not looking to part with them and prefer a "roo-free" coop.

There's a chance Rancher Hicks might have some -- you could send him a PM. I got my two CR's from him as very young pullets this past spring. They're very nice looking, robust birds [u can click on image to see it better].

Good luck on your search.
