Welcome!
My husband and I are watching Chopped and they got Silkie Chicken in their baskets! Lol One of the girls had never seen it in her life.
Thats cool!
Hello! I found the thread my neighbor Rancher Hicks told me about (Thanks for the eggs, by the way). I am currently working on my coop (always a work in progress) and have attached some pics for any comments or improvements :D I look forward to learning more from everyone on here :thumbsup
Welcome great pics

Morning all! Welcome to the newbies. Love the coop pics. Pine needles have all dropped so now I just need them to dry up so I can bag them for winter. Wish my girls would stop molting so they would pick up laying again. Only getting about ten eggs a day. Lots of egg customers! Silkie babies are getting big and cute! Making hot pepper jam today. Have a good day.

Welcome to the newbies.

Who remembers these things? We used to let them fly as high as we could then run as fast as we could. Silly kids!

JARTS !!!! Loved playing that like horseshoes - trying to get them stick into a hoola hoop type thing

ha ha ha that's why I don't see them anymore ! Too bad - I played with them for years - nothing like getting them to stick nice in the ground. Are we going to nerf the whole world because of idiots ? Too bad.

I am feeling old now. Most of my friends are much older then me so I always feel like I am one of the "young" ones, but I think that I am realizing that I'm starting to be one of the "older"ones. I know that I'm still not that old. I was 3 in '82.

My favorite Charmin commercial was the ones when the kid took all the TP and stuffed his clothes. I think that he was skating, that part I can't remember. I just remember being a kids thinking that it was cool and I needed to do it!

I'm sure I have you on the oldest. In '82 I was, I ain't saying here, but I was married and had two kids. I remember being in the hospital with pneumonia and getting upset because the "Edge of Night" soap opera came on. I was 3. Well not upset, but I hated it.

I think that only four of my seven Easter Eggers are laying and they are 25 weeks old now. Is it possible that I have some Roosters that aren't feathering like normal chickens?

You guys are making me feel old. In '82 I was 10 but I am still young at heart

Now that's the trouble with old age. Inside your head want's to do lots of the same things that you did when you were younger but your body won't cooperate. Young kids don't get it when I joke with them, cuz I try to stay up to date on things. Plus they don't expect you to have a sense of humor.

One good thing though is you can get away with somethings cuz they just think you're old and senile.

yes, chickens won't die due to the cold, but do whatever makes your boat float. Keep the drafts out and they should be fine. Clean water, fresh food and they should be fine.
