Not sure what you mean by gone. As in died?!? According to his profile, he was on site here at BYC less than 24 hours ago.

I didn't either, Stony. I just searched his name and I guess he's a member on BYC from Alabama, I think, devoted to Rhode Island Reds ... ?

Chilly here today, can't seem to get warmed up. Hope I'm not getting sick. Still no eggs from my female KC duck. I've kept her penned in longer in the morning seeing as how someone said their ducks layed in the morning. That didn't help any. I'm dying to get a duck egg! (Along with a silkie egg from my lavender hen, but I won't hold my breath with her!) Off to tend to the animals. Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

all ducks lay either overnight or 1st thing in the morning. With ducks an egg after 7am is a rare thing.

My female KC isn't laying yet either. Guess I'll be waiting for January or February eggs from her and the young female Runners

Yes he has passed away. Check for the thread and you will see. Perhaps some here knew him.

He apparently was very knowledgeable and perhaps a judge. I did not follow him personally but many here did. I also believe he was published as well.

He was an expert on Heritage RIR's and other breeds also. Not to be confused with production RIR's.
