NY chicken lover!!!!

Spent today making creams & stuff instead of cleaning house for tomorrow....

Sebastapol geese come tomorrow, so excited...

Daughter is giving me 2 Cayuga ducks on Sunday...not so sure about them, but will see how it goes...

You can still use it for something ...A garden shed ...a place to store extra chicken supplies , Hay  or Grass whatever you use for bedding . Chicken Food if you have it in waterproof containers
Its your money ..if you want to buy a quick coop ...thats your option . ;)
Besides it is a lot easier to have something all ready.. than Have the time to build it yourself

Agreed, sometimes it's easier to have something ready. I didn't even think of using it for storage but that's a really good idea. It's always nice to have an isolation area anyway...I didn't want to buy it but I also know better than to press my luck when it comes to asking for things ;)

I wish but we have no snow

I'm moving them for the night out of the coop and I'm going to put the game cam up and see what I get. My guess is raccoon or fox the wire was bent pretty good and chewed quite a bit. The animal was luckily too stupid to try and dig under the fence.
forget the game cam. Put out a coon size live trap with raw meat as bait. If it is a coon you will catch it and kill it in the morning. If it is a fox the bait will be gone but the trap will be 10 to 15 feet away from where you left it. Foxes get stuck and free themselves as they are too large to fully enter. If it is a fox find a way to kill it. Get a local trapper to look aver your area and find where it is coming in from. I saw where mine was coming in and took care of it.

I would but I unfortunately don't have a trap and didn't even think of that today to go get one :(

well then the trail cam it is. Foxes don't always hunt the same area's every night. They can go a week or 2 before returning sometimes. Coons will be back A LOT!

Yeah unfortunately...stupid lack of thinking with the trap...I'll have to get one this weekend. The dogs were both just barking like crazy so I went outside and didn't see anything but I looked at the fence again and my gut says fox.

could very well be. You'll need to find out for sure and take care of the problem.

I bought one of those pre made coops last year. It looks bigger in the pic lol it's now used for storage for my gardening stuff and the old run for storing leaves for winter. Dang thing is falling apart just after last winter. It will be coming down next year so it's doesn't break anymore. The worst part is i put 3 coats of sealer on it and a fancy roof cover to protect it and it still only lasted one winter. But my lattice run is in perfect shape and I did nothing to that

I love my motion detector lights ...the wind has kind of made them go on a lot recently though .
Let us know what your trail Cam sees

Nothing on it this morning which is a good thing. I'm going to go out in a bit and have a better look for footprints and things.
I have a motion detector light on one of the coops but like yours the wind tends to make it go off...I may still get another one for the other coop.
