NY chicken lover!!!!

muck boots are rubber boots, but some have a bit of insulation in them. mine do and I can wear them without socks in the warmer months, they don't breathe, because they are rubber... but my feet don't freeze in them unless they were already cold when I slip the boots on... I think mine were just under $100...much better to wear those than getting a thick layer of litter and poop on my work boots... it peels right off the mucks...

Are these like Snowmobile boots ? I did a search they look like rubber boots .
I already have these & my feet freeze .
They are rubber boots but insulated. I bought the chore boots calf height. They are insulated for 85-35 below. Suppose to keep feet warm in the cold and cool in the heat. I wore them last night with no sucks and was outside about 15 minutes in 25 degree wx. They didnt get cold at all :)

Any PIcs ? would they be found at Kmart or Walmart ( TS - I know they are expensive there ) or where else could I look ?

you're not likely to find insulated mucks at Wal or Kmart... maybe in boys... depends on what shoe size you wear, if you can get the smallest mans boot or the biggest boys boot... they have more in the way of warmth for the guys... but, you get what you pay for, and you don't want a plain rubber boot, like a rain boot... for the winter, you're feet will be very cold unless you pile on the wool socks...
I tried to get the pic from LLBean... but it was taking too long, I took this pic last Spring when my granddaughter was here, our "posh" Wellies...

pharm, muck boots are sold in a variety of places, but the best are the LLBean... slip on and off, really comfy and they run big. I normally wear a size 8-8.5. my mucks are size 7... LLBean has nice ladies patterns too, mine have purple paisley with a greenish tan background. love them in all seasons and all weather!

Thanks I was wondering where to find the different color ones.

It was amusing ...I hope you dont mind ?
I kept scrolling ...wheres her comment ?

out & about ...And flying around . It is amazing to see a chicken fly any distance

Skunks, woodchucks, raccons, possums. Mostly the last too and they are super large around here not like what you see on those crazy exterminator shows. All four have been found in my yard. I'm pretty sure I got the rid of the first set of intruders but I'm sure the next wave will be back and I want to be prepared. Also weasel like creatures are around here. I also want to catch ferral cats and get them taken care of so that they aren't reproducing in insane numbers. Be cool to catch a rat and teach my little dog to go after them but my one neighbor has been killing them so I haven't seen any signs of them lately but that doesn't mean they aren't there. Only my leghorn roo will go out and that's it but without his girls he just goes right back in, he is all about his ladies. His job makes me feel tired that is a lot of females do deal with on a daily basis LOL.

Quote: Thanks ...They are a brand then ..I guess I need to look around ..
Quote: Are you in the city or the country ? sounds more country critters to me
He Aint complaining ! mine doesnt ! ...He enjoys chasing the smaller Roos ...That is why the Samatras were flying ...LOL

Morning!
Heading to Deruyter tonight to have our second Thanksgiving and DH's aunts house. I made 3 more pies yesterday after work. Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving.

Speaking of work they started taking double of my portion of the health benefits out of my check for when I was out on maternity. And I have yet to see the sign on bonus and the pay raise they forgot to pay me 2 weeks ago from the new contract. It just irks me and then they say "we're looking into it".

Morning all. Sure is cold. Thermometer says 3 above. I'm a big fan of winter but my hands never seem to stay warm. I remembered last night that Danielle keeps hand warmers in her handlebar bag on her snowmobile. These things are great.

Also got our first Silkie egg from my lavender hen what a good day Black Friday is turning out to be! And to think I actually contemplated going shopping! Lol

So that puts you about a month behind me. That's not so bad. You should start seeing frizzle eggs in the next month.
