Yum!! coconut wine? Carboys?

How about Workin' The Farm or ***? LOL

Edited to add: Censor took the initials away and put ***'s. I can understand that and didn't give a thought when I typed it. But you get the idea. Use the initials of Workin' The Farm.

OK. Had to read this a few times!! I like your sense of humor!

Also, what do you guys think of this as a coop/run?

https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/thomas-pharrs-chicken-coop

As I read it, it's just a "coop"....but there are no walls. I wouldn't be comfortable in the winter with that set up. Annie (who hasn't been around in almost a year) had a wonderful set up, very similiar to the one you posted, except she had a building that was divided by Large hardware cloth to make different areas for each breed and each breed had a pop door into their own run area. I wish I had seen her set up before I built my own. I would have done it exactly like she did. People door both into run and each indoor section...pop door for birds into each run. She only let one breed at a time out to free range. (And her ducks, but they ignored each other. LOL) Oh, and there was a people door into the building and a small hall to allow access to each of the 4 breeds areas. It was pretty darn cool. And gave her a way to keep 4 breeds and keep them true to breed. Now keeping the flock to only 4 breeds? Not so easy.

Ditto what Rancher said about staying in school. I have 3 children. 2 quit school for various reasons, one finished. 2 regret their choice and HATE their jobs (one even changes jobs ever couple of years to keep sane....so no career ladder for him). The one that finished her education is MUCH happier with her entire life than her brothers are. (and she can afford to travel and take vacations...they can't)

DON'T BE A FOOL, STAY IN SCHOOL. Loans. Talk to school counselors to see if there is money around the school she might qualify for. Borrow text books. Buy books online (MUCH CHEAPER). Forgo other pleasures in life to free up money for tuition and school related expenses. Ask for Cash for every gift giving occation. (My daughter bought one semester books each year with money from christmas and birthday ,,,b-day in December) Might have to give up the chickens (cuz feed cost money) until after graduation. Hey, then we'll all know what to give as graduation present!!! CHICKS!!!!

My son rents his books! I have the pleasure on mailing them back, so much cheaper! This is his last semester at Geneseo, with hopes on grad school. He is the first of my five kids to go to college. I am very thankful he has set a great example for the other 4, all younger then him.

I agree. I want walls. I suspect that the one pictured was a bit farther south than I am. Annie did have a gorgeous set up.

What is this picnic that I see chitter chatter about?

Ugh.....the horse paddock is a sheet of ice. Anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking about buying some sand or kitty litter to spread around.

Thirdly anyone have a lavendar orpington roo that they are looking to sell?

Do you have any extra hay ? or straw ? you could put that down .
Or can you break it up with a sledge hammer
