NY chicken lover!!!!

So Sorry Lynzi - that is SO heartbreaking ...I gave it up myself ...so glad TT is taking it over for me ....
Maybe you can get some eggs locally & not get shipped one s ? Pharm has Silkies ...Have silkies will travel ?
I'm actually contemplating that since I'll be picking up a trio of silkies in the Albany area soon. I just have to figure out when so I can get searching for someone with hatching eggs either in that area or along the way somewhere.

Look at those boys very handsome very good boy for taking on that hawk. Thats my kind of roo hardcore! My roo is missing tail feathers too.

STONY is that your boy who sleeps in the trees or he just hanging out? Very handsome man.
he is hanging out. He lives in a coop with a couple of other roosters and about 20 hens. Much older boys live in the tree's. They roost 25 to 30 feet up in a tree. Can't get pictures of that

My girls have picked up laying - almost two dozen today, counting a few frozens. :) Still no sign of the mystery dog grr. I am setting up my game cam this weekend so I can see where it's coming from and what it looks like.

Maybe it wont come back ?
Do you still have your derp mug and button ? from 2011 ?
I just saw your post on the thread

Hope it turns out ok for ya. The liner they used was a foamish mesh one. I honestly don't know how they hatch when on side. I know normally when I hatch in my carton the pip is just by air cell normally.

When using egg cartons I cut them up. Pulled this back out of the trash this aint how the eggs was after hatch but probably close. I cut the sides down to almost lvl with the joining in middle of carton then I cut the tips off there. This way aircell is above the carton just about all around it does rest on one side alittle with these smaller eggs.

I like to cut the bottom of the cells out to, so no moisture collects in them.

Aaaand then there were none...wth!?!?! I can't believe this, just went upstairs to check on the chick and it stopped breathing. I give up! The woman I got these eggs from offered to send me more but the devastation of not having these hatches work out is really starting to get to me.

I am sorry for your trouble.
