Last time it was the fuel pump that had to be replaced on the furnace. This time it was the "cat's eye" that will not let it pump fuel if it can't see a flame. I live in a double wide manufactured home that is only 10 years old on 3/4 acre. Looking for a nice piece of land of 5-10 acres so I can have the Amish help me build a house. Hate living in a trailer, it's like cardboard stapled together.

It's been a cold winter... Our house is poorly insulated ( built in 1880) luckily my husband Insulated the basement this year bc we already burned all our wood and he cut down some dead trees and we had to use a electric heater in our bathroom. Our electric bill skyrocketed! We have wood again and and I have the incubator in the hall upstairs above the Woodstove. I've figured out how to keep good temps with the LG with the Woodstove going. I keep the doors upstairs closed to keep it warm overnight and as it gets to hot I can open doors. Today is day 7 I candled yesterday most of mine are clear yours seem to be good. A shadow? Is that what I'm looking for? Thank you so much for the eggs!!!

You should see some blood veins starting to form by 7-10 days. If they are not developing and it doesn't work out let me know and I will collect a couple dozen more for you. I have an extra bantam rooster if you need one

. Very cute and so single-minded about his romantic life he even tackles the LF cochins. Terrorizes the big roosters, but is very sweet with humans. Hatched last year from my first batch of test eggs I got from someone with about 200 mixed breeds all running together.

It is a boiler .. we have hot water baseboards
Im slowly trying to work the husband to do that ...with out being A REAL PAIN ABOUT IT

I would love that kind of baseboard heat

Evening all. Got 4 more inches of snow while I was at work. Heavy wet stuff and now rain. Not cool. Supposed to get warm and rain so this is going to turn into one large mess. Cheeps are picking up laying somewhat. Looking forward to firing up my bators soon.

I feel your pain about the electric bill. Mine went up too. Seems like we are having more and more taken away from us no matter how hard we work.

just across the street from me is a farm house with 2 barns free gas on like 33 1/2 Acer think they want 120 maybe less nor sure think that hunt try and sell now in perrysburg and Amish like less than 30 min drive some even about 2 min see them sometimes going down rd

Morning All!
Made it to CT safe and sound, took me 5.5 hrs (usually only takes me 4) but owell. Apparently no one wanted to plow the highways yesterday or the snow just came down so fast? I didn't see any falling but the roads from Lee to Springfield were a mess and I literally crawled the whole way. And with two kids in the car it was not fun!

On a positive note I WILL be picking up the Silkies on my way home in Saturday. Just waiting for a meetup time. I'm so excited!! Pics will come, I promise! ;-) Wish Saturday would hurry up and get here.

We candled our eggs last night. 27 of 62 are growing. The young ameracauna roo I have over my straight comb NN girls isn't getting the job done. He's trying though. Only one of the eggs is growing. I expected it but am still a little disappointed. The OE girls are covered by our blue cuckoo maran roo and he's getting his job done. The few BLRW are doing good (5 of 6). The few EE eggs from our layer flock are growing also. I concentrated on my NN this hatch. We are going to put Little Man our original ameracauna roo in with those girls now from our layer flock.
