So I think my new baby is a girl ?

Really? What makes you think that? I can never tell the gender until they are 6 -7 weeks and I am only sure when I hear the crow or see the egg. (I've been wrong sooooo many times)

It is a boiler .. we have hot water baseboards
Im slowly trying to work the husband to do that ...with out being A REAL PAIN ABOUT IT

Last time it was the fuel pump that had to be replaced on the furnace. This time it was the "cat's eye" that will not let it pump fuel if it can't see a flame. I live in a double wide manufactured home that is only 10 years old on 3/4 acre. Looking for a nice piece of land of 5-10 acres so I can have the Amish help me build a house. Hate living in a trailer, it's like cardboard stapled together.

Well actually I would love geothermal heat and I work for a company that makes hydronics so I can get units cheper

Our church building is Geo. They were gonna build some senior housing and make that Geo too.

Got 9 out of 10 eggs yesterday. But then again my girls have been laying all winter. Still waiting on my little D'uccle that hasn't really started laying. I found 1 last fall, but that was it. Still waiting, but not in a big hurry for her she can take her time. I have to go visit the neighbors and see if I can give away some eggs. I'm running out of room in the fridge, but I guess that is a good problem to have...Anyone need eggs?

Just scored myself a dozen Silkie eggs here in CT! This trip isn't turning out to be so bad after all! I'm hoping these eggs will work because they won't be shipped and I'll be able to keep them at the temp they should be.

Sorry to hear others are having furnace troubles, ours went out last weekend. Luckily it was just the igniter and we didn't need to call a service guy.

Fun day here so far. Anyone know what is strong enough to do this?

It obviously can't climb because if it could it would have just gone over the fence Whatever it was it didn't get in and everyone is fine. Just wondering what size trap to set to catch it.

I also had a hen with a prolapsed vent today. I managed to clean all the gunk out of her feathers and when I put it back it stayed in, so we'll see how she does. If it comes out again I'll have to separate her and try to force a molt so she stops laying.

Anyway, to lighten things up a bit, here are some pictures of my workshop 'babies':
