I've been saving my pennies since Santa didn't bring me my new incubator. I finally ordered it Saturday and it came today. So excited!

Now I made a mistake in buying a second thermo/hygrometer. My old one says, 100.5*/ 37% and the new one says 98.4 / 44% .

So it looks like I cant feather sex...I have 2 both slow growing feather chickens ..
However a Australorp breeder has said he has done it with his chicks ..got to be 3 days or less
So time will tell if I have a Lady or not

Who was looking for shoes? OMG can I shop. I LOVE to shop! You're in Syracuse, close to Waterloo Outlets. There is a Clarks store there, they have wide Clarks, the only place I've been able to find wide Clarks. We missed Presidents Day but OMG, last year, I got a pair of Northface Boots (at the Clarks store) for $15.00 and Clarks leather boots for $45, and Clarks shoes for $20. There are more shoe places there, one carries the nice German shoes like Birkenstock's, and I think they have the Uggs. I don't have Uggs, just have too many boots atm. The BIG BIG BIG problem I have is the Coach outlet store that's there. I can't leave that place without something, and it usually turns into a lot of somethings. A few years ago I went into Coach, got a nice handbag, walked next door to the Sunglass Hut and bought a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses and was like, oh man, I just put over $500 on my credit card and it's only 2 items. The great blessing is that now the New Hartford Shopping Center has a Sunglass Hut and I get to go often so can get really good deals. The Maui's I got in Waterloo were $350 and I got another pair in New Hartford for only about $120. They always have good deals, got my 13 yr old Arnettes for about $40 and a cool pair of spiderman limited edition Maui Jims for around $80 on clearance. Unbelievable prices, but it was Black Friday. They also had some really good prices on Oakley's and a couple of Ray Bans.

My absolute favorite city is Chicago because it has the magnificent mile of shopping. It is HEAVEN! They have a 3 story Talbots!!! It is such fun. Now I want to go shopping.

If you go to the Waterloo outlet mall, stop in the center court, show them your AAA card and get a coupon book before you shop. Do you ski? This time of year, Columbia has the big sale. We got excellent ski gloves original $120 for about $8 last year on Presidents day sale.

That is so true!! the outlet mall in waterloo does have some really good shoe stores even for my wide big feet! LOVE THE HOUSE CHICKS!

Well it's raining and our driveway and yard are ice skating rinks with at least and inch of water and growing. The Chickens loved it till it started to rain, and the boys (ducks) were in heaven. They didn't want to go back in the run. Took some pics of my roo, but he was moving so much they didn't come out that well, but this is the best one that I have. I still think that it looks like he's giving the bird.

I'm sure that he'll lose at least the very top of it. His waddles are better too now that they frostbit parts fell off. You can tell that they are tiny compared to before.

And we had a visitor last night. At first I thought that it was my cat from last night, but after getting a closer look , I know that it isn't my cat! Trail looks like it came in from the road and went all over the plowed part of the yard then it made its way over to the chicken run and went over the fence! I saw prints all over the place. It looks like it looked around the duck hut with no way in it moved on to the chicken coop. It walked under and it looks like it spent some time trying to get in the pop door, but then moved on. I lost track of what direction the tracks left in.








The prints are bigger then the opossum that we caught the last time. This may be a racc

Thats a big possum track I'm gonna venture. its hard to tell for me in the snow and slushie .. usually raccoons have more fingery tracks I think. its a good size whatever it is!
