Well scratch that! 81 South is completely shut down. He just called to let me know he's getting off the hwy because a tractor trailed turned over. Gotta take backroads all the way home.

Keeping my fingers crosssed for him and your car. Since it is new, it has new tires? New tires will save him and the car.

DH came home from Liverpool and said that the roads were verry crappy, and I can't even begin to type the words that he had for some of the stupid drivers. Cussed up a blue streak on the phone.

I agree the ducklings poop all the time, never fails, put them in the water and as soon as the get there they poop....Nothing like taking a bath in your own poop.

Yes and yes. They LOVE water. They poop in water. Bring the Clorox Clean up with bleach for the after care. And yes, you have to dry them off or they get a chill. And they poop while you do that too. LOL

Rancher, I did sand. I HATED it once got over 10 birds in the coop. I did NOT have a poop board because they roost in the rafters. Even before my flock grew to over 10 I had to shovel out some of the sand and replace it due to "urine saturation" and it smelled soooo bad. If you try it, try it in your smallest coop so if it doesn't work you don't have a lot of sand to shovel out. (oh, and sand it a LOT heavier than wood shavings)

Thanks for that. I won't be doing sand. I'd need to much of it anyhow. Can't lift those bags.

I bathroom cleaner and used a brush. Not again though.

IF you want to allow them to swim again, consider doing what I did. I took a rubbermaid tub and put it next to the brooder. Brought warm water from the sink, a gallon at a time, and poured it in until they could float in it. (Actually I added more warm water as it cooled, cuz they were a hoot to watch swim around) Then I grabbed them out and dried them with a towel and popped them back in the brooder with the light. And dumped the tub out the back door. I never did disinfect it until they outgrew the size of the tub I was using. By then they went outdoors to the pond. The quickest one, the one I couldn't catch until very last was the one that got sick. He pulled through, but that was when I started researching what I was doing and found out I shouldn't be doing what I was doing. LOL

Did  you get your loaf of bread, gallon of milk and LARGE pack of TP? If you didn't you are gonna regret it, cuz they don't make TP after the end of the world.   

I made tons of bread and I buy my to in bulk, so we will have about 90 rolls after the world ends till we have to worry
