NY chicken lover!!!!

I wasn't sure if anybody would be interested..................... I have a Trio of Bantam Cochins for sale.................A hen, pullet & cockerel Here's some pictures :

You haven't got a clue how long I've been looking for a Mille roo that's buff Columbian based like yours. I literally sold all my Mille's except 2 though last weekend for $40 because I couldn't find any new bloodlines to add into them. But you don't even know how much I like your boy there. Here's photos of the 2 I hung onto since they are completely unrelated. I wish I seen these guy before I sold mine.

Tuba- 3 year old Mille Fleur split to Mottled fourth generation

Feather- 9 month old Mille Fleur. The best rooster I have yet hatched type wise with this project.

I'm not a big rabbit person but my mom has had 3 angora doe's for 2 years now and is looking for a buck for them. She has a separate hutch for him all set up and now just has to find one. All she can find though are more doe's. If anybody has any idea on where she can find one can you let me know? I would greatly appreciate it.

I don't feed organic or non-GMO can't afford it. But for those that do or want to my local feed store McDowell Walker sells it. I buy their feed, Milky Way Feeds, layer pellet. I used to buy from another local feed mill, Blue Seal, picked up at the mill layer pellet was $7-$8 50lbs. They closed their mill here though, just not enough farms anymore. The Organic non-GMO feeds is made by Cold Springs Farm, Sharon Springs NY. Their site says;
"Our feeds are comprised of grains from the fruits of family farms much like your own. Using a series of lot numbers, we can trace all the grains in your mixes back to their source in order to maintain and assure a history of organic integrity in the feed you give your animals. We test our grain regularly in order to assure the highest standards in quality and nutrition, to safeguard against toxins, and to make sure that no GMO's slip into the mix."
They are certified by NOFA. Feed stores that carry it are in Cobleskill, DeRuyter, Bullville, Delhi, according to their site. They also have it in Sidney so their must be more. When I posted this a couple months ago someone posted that they pick up organic feed in Oneonta and the price wasn't bad, I don't remember where though or who posted it.

Nutty said about the feed she sells
" 100 lb bags - hog feed, corn meal, whole corn, layer mash, goat/sheep feed, oats, cow feed, horse feed,
. This feed is from a local feed mill in Boonville NY (not Baileys) they produce it right there and a majority of it is organically grown.
Both Boonville and Jordon are too far. 9I live on the Mass border(I work there). I have gotten cold springs farm products and they are excellent. I was hoping to find something, non gmo cloder to home. I appreciate the input! I would welcome any other ideas. Thank you.

Yours are beautiful !! These 3 are for sale if you're interested. The Hen is from Jamie Matts. The 2 youngsters are from her & my black mottled roo, who is also Jamie's stock. These youngsters are 1st generation.

The genetics are too confusing for me

, so I'm going to concentrate on my mottleds and try to produce some nice Blue mottleds. Besides the fact I don't have enough space to keep the 2 colors separated !

Unfortunately I'm cutting back now on this project as I sold 11 of the 12 I had just because I needed a break from the project. I kept the mottled looking hen because she is a "pet" and the rooster for my frizzle girls. But if I had known you were selling them Sunday before I sold mine I would have probably picked them up from you and kept plugging away on them. But I plan to get some more around April and just start fresh on this project as well as just re-create my entire chicken flock. I love the Mottled you have. They are something I need to get to add into my Mille's once I start them back up. And as far as keeping those colors separated I always kept mine together and if I had yours, with them being so light, I would have put them with my mottled. I thing the chickswould be very dark but if you bred them back to a Mille you would be on a very good track to the standard Mille color. But, if you definitely want to sell them I know someone who may be interested.

Need help identifying these prints! When I go out in the morning I always look for tracks in the snow. This morning there weren't any around. When I got home this afternoon these were all over the place outside and inside the run and around the duck coop. All chickens and ducks are accounted for so my guess would be maybe squirrel? It looks like they came from under the snow by the rock walls.

These are feet print next to the coop. The print is just a little smaller then my thumb.

You can see the rock wall where the tracks went into into under the snow and then back out.

These are in the run. Looks like it climbed went to the corner and climbed back over.

Sells Cold Springs, anywhere near you? I have one feed mill and several feed stores within a ten mile radius, I'm not going to travel for feed either. I do wish they carried 100lb bags, and at the price I think it was Nuttyfrom6kids quoted.

I'm no expert in tracks, but have similar all around my pens and have been watching a big gray squirrel hanging around. It looks like rabbit tracks in the back and rat tracks in the front. I think the extra line in the middle is from the tail. Anyway I hope that's what it is. Big fat bugger must be gathering all the scattered corn and scratch they miss.
