I don't feed organic or non-GMO can't afford it. But for those that do or want to my local feed store McDowell Walker sells it. I buy their feed, Milky Way Feeds, layer pellet. I used to buy from another local feed mill, Blue Seal, picked up at the mill layer pellet was $7-$8 50lbs. They closed their mill here though, just not enough farms anymore. The Organic non-GMO feeds is made by Cold Springs Farm, Sharon Springs NY. Their site says;
"Our feeds are comprised of grains from the fruits of family farms much like your own. Using a series of lot numbers, we can trace all the grains in your mixes back to their source in order to maintain and assure a history of organic integrity in the feed you give your animals. We test our grain regularly in order to assure the highest standards in quality and nutrition, to safeguard against toxins, and to make sure that no GMO's slip into the mix."
They are certified by NOFA. Feed stores that carry it are in Cobleskill, DeRuyter, Bullville, Delhi, according to their site. They also have it in Sidney so their must be more. When I posted this a couple months ago someone posted that they pick up organic feed in Oneonta and the price wasn't bad, I don't remember where though or who posted it.
