NY chicken lover!!!!

I am researching meat birds...a new form of the addiction, and turkeys...
I am getting turkeys this year!! Can't wait for the snow to melt so I can get the hoop coop built... Can't be like I was with the chicken...Got the chicks before the coop, need to make sure that I have their coop build before I get the poults..Can't wait!

So, in a nutshell, I'm only paying for around 400 pounds of feed a month instead of 800 pounds, and when you are feeding organic to non working birds the cost can get obscene pretty quickly. It's just simple cost control.

You should try Nuttys Feed ...it is organic ..just not certified ...it is fresh & smells Wonderful ..chickens love it .
I think it was 100 pounds for 16.00 - 17.00 ..quite a savings too

That price is amazing! Half of what we pay for 50 pounds and the farm that produces it is right down the road from us!!! I could keep a lot more around!

I am considering buying the brinsea mini advance, I will be using it for myself and as a teaching tool at my local school. Is it worth the money I have heard really good things about brinsea

I love my Brinsea. I have the next size up (Octagon 20 advance), but it is really a great machine. It is nearly silent when operating and holds temperature really well. It is definitely worth the money - I use it for my rare breed and difficult to hatch eggs, and absolutely love it!
