NY chicken lover!!!!

Lol, okay, you all caught me, I will have to hatch still. I forgot briefly that I already had orders for Chickenstock, so of course I have to do those too, and M, you know I always have room for your eggs (even if it means my incubator ends up double stacked, lol) so I guess what I meant to say is I'm going to try to be good and try to avoid hatching a bunch of things for myself, lol.

M, I'm free Friday and Saturday, whichever works best for you.

:)  ha ha ha      WE all got you !    You have no time to rest.    :)

Both days work for me - so will wait to see what Bakin has to say ....

I was probably that old also when our Aunt gave me and my sister the complete set of the Hardy boys and her Nancy Drew, she worked at a publishing place that printed them in the mid 80s.
One of my girls a few years ago asked what a "chum" was, she had a Hardy boys book, said there was a couple in the school library. I read them three times over, there was over 50 of them. I asked my mother if she still had my set, no, donated them the the public library

. Stopped there, they threw them out, out of date

I originally only had the first three, but have been collecting them where ever I could find them. They're rather cheap now so if you start you might be able to score a set.

There are die hard collectors who know much more than I do. I only go by the dates in the books. I'm not real up on antique stuff. I've a few extra copies of some. Not worth much these days.

Still I like them and it gives me reason to read something.

I did the pool brooder thing last year & it worked great. Although their shavings went everywhere, the round brooder really gave them lots of room to run. Good luck w ur hatch. Sebbies are beautiful. Fingers crossed they hatch! Goslings r amazing.

I used to do the pool brooder but I don't have a barn and not much space for it anymore. It got hard to clean. Now I have a store bought pen.

[/URL]I loved the Hardy Boys! My cousin had the whole set and when we visited there I tried to read as many as I could. Mostly people discouraged me from reading them and encouraged me to read Nancy Drew or Cherry Ames. so much more appropriate for a girl like me. Grrrr.i was a tomboy, never did get to be a girly girl!

But, Wed. Was an awful day, it started with the sound of rushing water which turned out to be our water system flushing itself out, but the water unable to drain into the septic tank which was full...so it was flooding the basement...all this at 4 a.m. In order to make sense of this I made coffee, but the coffee maker just drained cold water through the grounds...it had died too. Luckily I have a low tech percolator for camping!

I have a picture of some of the flock helping, I will try to add that from my phone.

First that's the good thing about old age. You don't give a good rats rear end what people think. I know how you felt though. Now I just knit, crochet or paint or whatever and people can "Kiss my Grits!"
Plus I encourage any young person to do the same.

As for your Wed? These things happen. I just don't post it here too much. Seems like God is against me sometimes but I know he's just testing me. I refuse to be a fair weather friend.

Contractor is coming Saturday to fix this and I'm still waiting for the insurance check. Took everything including gutters and crushed the chain link fence. I've got a fridge full of eggs and more on the counter. I need a phone call asap for eggs.

I have no doubt we'll both survive.
