NY chicken lover!!!!

SO....i have ANOTHER broody :( this is the 4th time since like February she has gone broody! our place is too small for more chickens and we don't have a rooster. Every single time she does this i just keep taking the eggs from her and eventually she gets the point. Then i start thinking about how sad it must be for her hahaha and i want her to at least be able to hatch one and then i can give it away....but getting someone to take a chicken around here is ridiculous!

For those who don't know just a heads up.

I won't be making the chickensstock but will be sending up hatching eggs. Mixed lot, Dels, C.Rocks, Marans and EE's. So if you go make sure your incu is empty.

I'll be sending some other stuff for the auction too, but wanted folks to be prepared to bid on eggs. Of course there will be other folks who will have eggs too, so be prepared to bid on theirs too.

Ta, ta, for now,

Rancher, too much to do and too little time, Hicks.

Hi all! I'm wondering if any of you in the southern tier, NY area (or further away) know of a breeder of polish chickens? Thank you!

There's a lady in Hunt ny that does tolbunt polish. Not sure if she's a BYCer but she sells birds thru rare breeds auction. Seems like a reputable breeder.
I've got appenzellar spitzhaubens in gold spangled & chamois and expect to have extras.

400

Looks like there are a few that might be developing, don't want to count my chickens but there may be a hatch at the end of the month :-D

There is an unauthorized party going on in the brooder in the cellar. I can hear them all the way up here! BAD FUZZYBUTTS! Kids these days just don't listen. It's bedtime for Petes sake!

I cover the brooder with a blanket at night & turn of the light ...They are in the house right ? Mine are just fine
It is 60 70 degrees in the house . They all cuddle & go to sleep.
They also learn night is bed time ...
