I agree incubate the eggs ...or put the eggs back where she likes them can you net her in the box ?
so she doesnt get out & they cant get in ..
Broody poop is Nasty ...can you let the mama hen & Babies out for a little bit ? so she poops outside
If you move a Broody
1) put gloves on
2) do it at night
3 ) Net her in so she cant move out ...she is more apt to get used to it

Unfortunately, I can't really net her in....it isn't set up well for that. My husband needs to do some modifications to the nest boxes on the broody side. She was off her nest this morning. I'm going to put her back on the othr side. I'm just hoping that, when the chicks hatch, she won't balk so much when I move her AND the chicks back to the broody side. Then again, maybe she'll ferociously protect the chicks and can stay with the main flock. The first broody (the one in my house right now), wasn't a good enough protector...lol.
