Morning all? Legolas and his wives all but ran me over this am when I let them out to freerange. Guess they were feeling cooped up! Lots of happy chirps and grazing. Delightfully cool this am. Coop housekeeping today and setting up the fence so Legolas can have a bigger run during the day. Dh had to lay down the law in the big coop last night as the older girls were fighting with the younger ones. Always drama somewhere in our yard. Thought maybe the bear was around last night as the neighbors dog was doing her bear bark. Didn't see anything. I would love to get another dog, both for companionship and as an alarm system. I miss our lab. He was a great chicken dog and drove off predators, including bears.

Do they have a shelter near you ? or you thinking about a puppy ?
Ive wished for a dog with the coons in our corn again ..
They got used to the music ..So last night they listen ed to the Philies game & had a light out there ..
It worked the night before ...no sign of them
they could have the corn ...except they trample everything else too
...and pull down the fence so then the chickens can get in ..they head right to the pink tomatoes ...

Still waiting for the baby turtles to hatch ...Takes sooo Long
