NY chicken lover!!!!

My 15 year old son cleaned my coops for me. We agreed on a price, then he told me I did not have to pay him. Gotta love that! (I paid him anyway)

Start a route, based on how often people need your services and charge mileage in addtion to your hourly rate. Give a discount to anyone who lets you sleep over so you don't have to return home each night when you are on the road a distance from home. Be sure to charge more for "deep cleaning" as opposed to regular weekly or monthly cleaning. You might want to start small, doing it weekends only....maybe one weekend a month to start to see if you can really make a living at it. Might want to advertise on local Craig's List as well as any area's CL that you plan to go to.

I would think you would be able to do 3 - 4 a day, maybe more, depending on the travel distance.

Be sure to pack a change of SHOES for driving (don't want poo in the car), a cage or two if you accept part of your pay in chickens and a cooler for hatching eggs.(hot water bottle optional depending on the season)

Well things certainly have gotten out of control. Just how much would you pay or CAN you pay to have your coop cleaned and how often. I suppose if you got $5 a dozen you could afford it. I pay the minimum wage as I think that is fair, but not as often as you'd think. I do do it myself on occasion and better than Jesse does. Takes him about three hours. I can do it in less. Well to be fair he did do both runs and a fair job. He does it all at once I have to do it in days. Just like everything else I do.

I do know that egg farms are smelly and don't seem so clean as the videos would have us believe. Bet the neighbors were glad when Blooms closed down. My point being the home flock raiser has a cleaner coop and chicken keeping management . At least most do I hope.

Now if Jesse quits give me a call. I won't let you sleep over and I won't pay mileage. I will pay you in eggs, and chicks in the spring if you wish.

Went camping in Old Forge this weekend, thought I should post a pic of the new camp sign we got up there.

Just couldn't resist getting a roo on it!

You mentioned some very good points/ ideas. Some things I have already been thinking about such as what exactly they would want done and how often.
I think I may already have one job lined up and will be waiting for Rancher's call if his current hired hand quits
