NY chicken lover!!!!

Hi, im posting this here as I'm close to some parts of NY (I'm in southwestern Connecticut) and maybe someone may be interested.

Anyways, i love this rooster, but i'd like to get rid of him. my coop is kind of crowded, and he's treading the hens and has left one of them with a naked back .

It is usually good to have 1 rooster to 10 hens ...you only have 5 or so right ?
I dont see any spurs on him ..could you trim his nails ?

Woohoo, I'm getting marans in May, all I will need to go with them is some blue layers. Yay.

Oh crud!!! Chickens are addictive.

All the things I disliked about high school are such a big part of farming. Math , science, drafting, shop class. I thought the teachers were full of it when they said I would need it.
marans chickens or eggs ? I want some DARK EGGS

I am on day 22 with the barbezieux eggs and no dice. I had them shipped from Washington from a rarebreeds auction. I am bummed and my humidity pump failed. Wound up with a hole in the ump line and I have no extra. I need a rooster and I have these two beautiful girls with no mate.

I had a gal come yesterday for the speckled sussex. I had six. My first time selling on Craigslist. I still have the Isbar/BCM crosses, 5 of them. One who is throwing a comb at 3 weeks.

The McMurray chicks are finally starting to stabilize a little. I lost 6. My Queen Silvia's and Isbar shipment from GFF is doing great. Not a single loss. They look like leopard chipmunks. Cute!

I have big ambitions today of finishing my Isbar breeding pen. They are laying like crazy!

Hooray, the first batch is finally here! Supposed to be 6 ISA browns but there's one that sticks out like a sore thumb...friendly, yellow, and bigger than the rest. Surprise chick!
