So it would appear that Duckie now belongs to my dominant Roo Spitz. Every time I go near my duck his rooster attacks me.

cutie is a boy ..I am still thinking of a hen for him ..
But my men hate Roosters that crow so he may need a home as he gets older

Yes, brabanters & spitz have similar size & body shape. The biggest difference is the beard that brabanters wear. If u can keep him, I can get a spitz hen or pullet to keep him company.

not any time soon. The absolute only time he is nasty is over Duckie. The hens love him and he's great with chicks he even likes people, as long as we don't scare Duckie. Spitz thinks he is Duckie's dad. If Duckie comes to me Spitz just stands guard until we part ways. I just can't nor go near MY duck.
