NY chicken lover!!!!

it is still alive ...it has become a house chicken ...
I wish I knew if it was in pain ...it doesnt eat much ..or move around much ..
It went out with me today ...when I planted some tulip bulbs ..
it is afraid of the flock ...so it gets picked on by most everyone ..
So I try to keep it near me ..as it cant defend itself ...
So if I am not right with it it needs to be rescued
I hope it gains strength and gets better. Glad it has you to help it

It was gorgeous here this weekend & this chickens loved it! Flying over fences into grass paddocks they're not allowed in during the winter b/c they 'll just dig up the grass! But unfortunately I had plans all these past few warm days so no extra work done outside! :( I wanted to, but I guess I'll have to work in the cold instead. :(

Great...School just closed. No peace and quiet today.

I might get more done in the barn today so I can get breaks from the kids- haha.
My husband just cleared an area in my basement to set up my plant starts! That means I can add eggplant and peppers to my garden this year. :) I have to purchase some grow lights but i have the shelving and potting supplies already. I haven't decided about heat mats yet. I figure I'll get the lights set up and see how warm it gets. If it's not warm enough for germination I'll get some sort of heating. Exciting to think about playing in the dirt.

Even with the warm weather I still have snow. Lots and lots of snow so no grass play time for my birds. They still seemed to like it outside more so they got lots of treats.

Most of our snow melted ...BUT..Today... however we have snow
I dont let that stop my chickies ....I shovel them paths down to the grass ..
So they can have some fresh grass all year round ..Mine are spoiled
