Nice looking birds!

Once upon a time I wanted a few hens for eggs. I thought 4 would be enough but quickly decided 6 would be best. Next thing I know I have 8 + a rooster + I want two more breeds (a few chick's of each) + breeding my own flock= I have a problem and can't stop wanting more chickens.

Ahh yes! You've contracted morehens disease.

AND there is NO CURE !!

Join the crowd ...LOL I want one of each color/ Breed

I sold my 3 Roosters ...Glad they are going to a home ...to have their own hens ..

Remember The Black EE Houdini ? The Little chicken that snuck out of the coop ?

The little chicken that hid from the Crazy Young Roos last year ?
He Has Grown Big ..he is next to one of the young Cuckoo Maran Roos .

A sweet Boy he turned out to be ...
I hid him in my coat when I was out doing yard work ... as they would attack him ..

If I lived farther out into the country, I'd have gone for keeping one rooster and xis hens of each breed I wanted. As it is I don't buy chicks. I let the hens hatch last year and may buy a new incu. I've considered switching out for new breeds. Javas and Buckeyes. In this area few folks really care about breeds. They just want chickens of any kind.

Too, I'm probably going to get some more Blue Swedish ducks. Lots of plans and dreams but not enough money. Story of my life.

Oh, oh I forgot. Anyone planning on going to the Small Farm and Homestead Fair in Morrisville? Point being anyone bringing any thing. It's in March so it wouldn't be to cold or warm to bring at least hatching eggs.

It's the first Annual but we shall see if it continues. The CNY Flower show didn't last.
