Well then don't join i was sharing incase others wanna join Im on at least 50 groups I personally cant stand ny chicken groups all are disgusting, tossing out there sick birds and the group is for all of ny not just upstate

I did join a group started by a member here on BYC 'Naked Neck (aka) Turken Fanciers and Breeders Group'
Good group, nationwide and worldwide, some are for breeding to standard some are having fun with funky crosses, everyone gets along and lots of pretty cool pics.

I have found not found anything wrong with the groups. To each their own on culling sick birds, I believe it is more humane and a sick bird is a danger to the rest of the flock can spread its illness and attract predators. Everyone has a different view on chicken raising. I personally don't believe in letting a sick animal suffer and I think house chickens are sad, not getting to live by their instincts. But like I say to each their own.

ZUKE - I live in Vermont - just across the NY boarder near Glens Falls (Lake George). Plenty cold and snow ... I have Marans, Spitzhauben, EE, Blues but I did have some d"uccles a few years ago and those little birds also did well in my setup.

Oh - and my coop is about 8 x 8 imagine 3 full walls all with ventilation along the entire run where the rafters are - and one wall which is ONLY wire The birds love it - they pace in front of the wire and enjoy the fresh air until I let them out for the day.

Thank you for sharing the link ...I personally have enough groups at this time , Im sure others will check it out also
Then you should like our group..we try to heal our chickens ..and ask advice of the others when we have a problem . sometimes we dont succeed but we do try .
