Slogged through the lawn today to the chicken coop. I don't think the lawn dried all year. Freezing rain last night, but it got warmer overnight so no freezing rain this am. The trees were sure beautiful though. Doris was crowded in behine the EE's and ameracauna. She knows how to stay warm when moulting. Smart chickie!
I got THREE eggs today. One of them was OLIVE. Sooo those roosters were worrying the girls into not laying. This is the FIRST Olive egg I have gotten and the hen that laid it is the exact same age as the Roosters I got rid of, Hatch mates, as a matter of fact.
So that's just one more thing I have to be thankful for this holiday season.
Do you know what I told ray the egg was? I told him that it was proof that God wanted me to have more chickens.
