We actually built a coop with pallets. I don't work in the summer so had time but no $. Took ages to get them apart and then to nail the shorter pieces with nails from yard sales to build a coop but it worked. Good luck!

Cass - we are on!

You have pics? My neighbor has a yard full of pallet all the time and I've no idea what he is building with them. My other neighbor build a garden shed with some. Rustic and looks nice. If I could lift the darn things I'd find some use for them. I could use a compost set up.

Here is an old picture - the one on the right. I don't even have the one on the left anymore. Got it an Grossmans Clearance for $200 already put together after someone hit it in the parking lot. I fixed the broken corner and had a 8 x 8 shed with a floor and roof for $200. Anyway, the little one is 4 x 8 and made of pallets, except for the shingles.

Featherz, sorry to hear about your BO.

Today was a ten-egg day, which is a new record for these peeps. Nine were good, but one of the newbies laid a pullet egg from the roost early this morning that ended up cracked on the floor. It was a good shell, though, as, although the shell was crushed in, it hadn't leaked, and it was too dark for anyone to have tasted it and found it good. So, I threw that sucker as hard as I could down the hill into some brush. Turns out that a pullet egg flies pretty well.

It looks very nice. My neighbor didn't paint his shed though. Very handy you are.

Thanks. It was my first coop and has many great memories with it. We even still have a few of the original flock 5 years later!

I love Pigeons! They are so beautiful! Do you know if they be housed with Peafowl and Pheasants?

ETA - The littlest DD may want to hatch some Ameracaunas. She loves to show at the Altamont Fair so pure but not necessarily show quality eggs would be great if anyone has some to sell the first week of February.

As long as they are still laying, I should have Silver Amer. I don't know if they are show quality, I am just starting to hatch some from them, I got them from Pips & Peeps so I know they are pure. Toughest thing is getting the eggs before they freeze, depending on the weather.
