and there is a pip! The largest egg in the bator! 3 inches long and fat! It is just what she lays. pekin duck sized eggs. An egg from a 4 year old RIR who still lays every other day. Mated with a Sumatra rooster. 1st one coming out! Still day 19. Day 20 starts at noon! Boy it's gonna be a long 3 days

Just talked to the gentelman in MN that is shipping me a Temminck's Tragopan hen - she is going out today, overnight mail! OM Goodness I am so excited!

Annie--you have to post pics when you get her. I have never seen such a bird. Actually, a pic of the couple would be nice! I am excited for you.

Aria--hows the broodys doing? I am collecting now for hatching soon. Hoping that everyone has been doing their jobs!

Hope the staff of BYC is noticing the "Amen's" to my request to allow us to continue as we have been (at least for the year + that I have been a member)

Please, we need the locals to be allowed to post what they have....gas is sooo dear and shipping is so iffy....

We need more "Amens" (It's Sunday, that's why I chose that word, sorry if I offended any Agnostics or Athiests or Goddess worshippers, but "Amen" seemed appropriate today.


PS I think the staff at BYC does a wonderful job. Sincerely. But , well, see above....we are happy with our little "i have XYZ " posts on our local thread

We have the two hens doing fine. Expected hatch Tomorrow, Tuesday, March 14.

And we are traveling today....will bring home one Dark Blue Rooster one Splash Hen
and one Blue hen. BBS.

Will keep you posted. And will try to post photos. Since they changed the site?????

Hi folks; I am rather new to BYC and I have enjoyed this thread very much. I don't understand why someone would feel the need to possibly hurt another person by contacting BYC about something as petty as mentioning that they have sale or trade items.Look around and take note of what's happening in this world and realize how fortunate we are to have this and each other.

Could this site also be set up so that certain words trigger the byc powers of be and that it isn't someone complaining. If it is, sorry about the previous statement. Carol

I will address this for you. I can't say that some thing can be done to trigger things so the moderators know what to target but as you will learn not everyone on the forums are nice. Some are very sensitive and don't keep in mind that they are among FRIENDS. That if something is perceived as snarky it most likely is NOT. So myself I just give folks the benefits of the doubt. I do have a weird sense of humor and it has gotten folks knickers in a twist more than once.

So for me keep in mind that I'm here cuz I care and want to be with people such as myself who are insane about chickens and ducks and rabbits and turkeys and goats and sheep and , and , and. If you think I'm being rude keep in mind that on TV somethings I say would trigger a laugh track.
