I don't plan on going to bed tonight!!

If, and when, you fall asleep you will wake to little peeping. Awww...

Lol! It is very exciting! I can't wait to see pics! I am on day 8 and I candled all 41 eggs. Only 2 don't look like they have anything going on!! I'm gonna check them again in a couple days tho. I cleaned my coop yesterday and a few hours later my nose starting running like crazy and it hasn't stopped!

I had a fever earlier and sore throat. Ahhh I don't have time to be sick!!

Spring is not time to be sick! Sorry.

Dh decided that at 8:00 this morning, I'd slept long enough (I AM on vacation!). So, he stands in the hallway and says, "Matt! Get the .22 in my office! There's a mink out at the coop!". Course, by this time I've jumped out of bed, grabbed my glasses and am standing at the window when he says, "April fools!".

Jerk.

Dh decided that at 8:00 this morning, I'd slept long enough (I AM on vacation!). So, he stands in the hallway and says, "Matt! Get the .22 in my office! There's a mink out at the coop!". Course, by this time I've jumped out of bed, grabbed my glasses and am standing at the window when he says, "April fools!".

Jerk.

I'd forgotten the April fools thing. I would not have been amused by what your DH did. The D would have soon stood for Dead.

I've never been one for practical jokes.

This cold weather is to much as usual.

I think I'll head off to bed even though it's early.

Plus with a cold today I decided it would be a GREAT time to start cleaning out my largest coop. Bah. Wearing my respirator with a cold = major fail. Got some of it done AND noticed that I had been missing my leghorn eggs for two eggs - FOUND them!! they were in a big pile behind the nest box waaaay down deep. Had to toss them all - they were dirty and who knows how old. I have enough eggs. So then I was lugging and rearranging big heavy nestboxes to get rid of that gap.

Featherz & Mderby, hope you are both over your colds SOON. All 3 of my "menfolk" are sick with cold symptoms. Ugh.

I spend a lot of time reading on those "geeky" websites. I got a kick out of Google's April Fools prank - "Google Nose". If you went to the google website you would see "Nose beta" at the top along with the type of search, (web, maps, pictures, etc). It allowed you to search things you wanted smell. So for instance you could type in "roses" and it would pull up an image and then a button stating "press nose here" and as your nose pressed it it would "clock" as if it were sending the smell to your phone, iPad, PC, etc. it was so funny. Wonder how many we're smelling their phones all day. LOL

Hubby stated tonight that I should go pick up some chicks tomorrow. I don't even have the tank ready! He also said it can come in the house again (not for long, I don't want to deal that dust mess again). Not sure if it will happen or not, trying to drag stuff out of the basement while watching the toddler who is home on vacation is not my idea of a good time. I'll call around though and see what everyone has in store. CountryMax will have peep week the 10-14, could always get some 'leftovers' then.
And I think all my Anconas are girls. After I stated they can all go to crock pot for being the most noisy birds of the flock.

Yup, that's #13! He was my 1st pip at 10am this morning...he/she sure is stubborn though. I had to reopen the membrane so he/she didn't suffocate!!

Haha, Hubby posted picture on FB of a positive pregnancy test. I got phone calls all day. He thinks it's soooo funny.
