Ty all for thoughts and prayers. She is doing good breathing tube is out. I showed her a video of her brother talking and showing her are sent he got her. She loved it. Here is a video of her response to him. I tried to not get anything bad in it.

A little boy here ain't doing so brood from what we under stand something with lungs. I really hate hospitals. Alway a sad story in them.

Sending speedy and uneventful healing wishes to your little girl! I know a girl from our area that had a heart transplant at 6 months old. She is now in 6th grade and no different than any other kid. Just carries someone else's heart with her.

Are you in a lovely mood today Stoney. I get like that sometimes. Not enough lately. Thanks for the fun! DD and I did some planting in the garden today. Added some compost, mixed it up and found grubs! Ick. Chickens love them.

Hi, Everyone, It's not been a good day. The light went out over the brooder and 11 chicks died. I didn't say anything earlier cuz JLaw, is going through a much more worrisome trial. Tonight at work didn't go well either. This job has not been good and I think I may quit. The work itself is not the problem but people are just not professional. Nothing has been handled right. So sorry about the chicks. Sometimes a job looks a lot better than it actually is. I was just talking to a friend that hires (and fires) people for his business. He said it is very difficult to truly judge a person in just an interview or two. Just like finding a job. I have been collecting eggs for someone that does not have enough hatching eggs to meet his demand. The Araucana are laying wonderfully! I swear I got 4 eggs from 3 hens today. Weird. They are the only hens in the pen.

Sorry for your losses. And the job? That stinks....Don't quit....give it 2 weeks and see how you feel at the end of that time. Really, 2 weeks can change your outlook a lot. (and get your a paycheck. LOL)

Speaking of dead chickens...Ok, we weren't, but I am gonna.

That Beeeep beepity beep Red tail Hawk got my $30 silkie. No, really, I didn't pay $30 for one chicken, I paid $30 for 5 chickens but only ONE turned out to be a hen. Grrrr....and the hawk ripped her head off and barely ate any of the rest. I am beyond ******. SSS. As far as I can see Red Tail Hawks aren't endangered. Yet.

On a much nicer note, I have almost collected all the 48 eggs I need for Tues. I am going to keep collecting and take the freshest ones to the grade school. It is awkward collecting eggs with a carton in your hand tho.
