Anyone looking for a coop?

too far and no money not bad price for it though. I have like 500-600 into this dang coop so far and I still need to buy some more ply wood from work and get stuff for the run.

I did find out I don't need a building permit for anything under 100 square feet at least while building this so I'll make smaller coops as I get more birds or if I have some that don't get along. I'm sorta worried about one of my silkies. We had the birds out side when we noticed the silkie with feathered feet was bleeding. I got looking at it's feet and it looks like it or the other birds pulled feathers out of the quill. So we took blu-kote to the feet and my hand mind you grrr. Nothing like a purple hand lol.

The new coop we are building is going to be pretty big. Pretty sure I need a building permit but shhhhh haha
That sucks about the foot...at least you had blukote on hand. People at work have gotten used to me coming in with my hands colored from something or other so they stopped asking.

Our garbage day is Monday. On Sunday night I clean out the fridge and put all the "unwanted" food in a dish and spread it out to the birds. They are happy. So, max of 1 week old anything. Veggies that have gone a bit soft that the humans wont eat, etc the birds get too. I also work in a kitchen sometimes that serves whole grain pasta and breads. Yup, they get it.

On a side note, one of our does had a baby girl yesterday at 6 pm. Earth day. Her name is April (of course) and she is a registered Nigerian Dwarf.

Very cute, but like babies they grow up and act like teenagers.

Doesn't anyone here trade or barter? I knit , crochet , garden, can food and make jams and jelly.

Well I guess chick days over at TS. I went to the one in Baldwinsville today and there weren't any. Good thing because if by any chance at all they had Barred Rocks I would have came home with 6! LOL Went there for more chick feed and was in and out in 10 minutes. Kids took a nice nap on our 35 min ride home. It's so nice out, wish I was home during my break from work today to do some yard work but nope! I was stuck at the dentist with these two littles that live with me. At least they were excellent patients.

No struggling to get anyone in the chair this trip!

I ain't that far from Bville. When these broodies start hatching these eggs there'll be plenty of chicks.
