I can't wait at all!!!! One of the LF roos my uncle wants so he will get on of them. The rest you give me will stay around until fall or longer when I decide who to keep around for next years breeding. I can almost guarantee they will be gorgeous. I have 2 new little Peanut Butter baby roos. They are also runty but he also was at that age and now he has the best type in Bantam Cochins I own. One of those little boys is white with a very faded yellow tint.

Was planning on letting them go outside today but didn't get my fence set up. Have one more run of electric fencing to hook up for the growout coop!

Finished building a coop today. I decided I'm going to use one crate as a "grow out pen" two crates for a duck house and one for a rabbit hutch because the one I have my male bunny in is falling apart. Here'a a pic of the grow out pen. Still needs to be painted.

On a sad note my momma bunny abandoned all her kits and I got home today to find them all dead. So upsetting. I can tell by their markings they would have had some awesome coloring too. :-(

Oh, sorry about the bunnies. And Rancher's broody problems. What is it with these animals, they wanna. E moms, but when they find out it is a lot of work, off they go. Come to think of it, there are people like that too.

The coop looks like it will be sturdy and safe, and portable if you want to reposition it ever.

I'm sorry about your baby bunnies.

When are you getting your ducks? Where are they coming from? Indonesia? What kind did you get? How big are those crates? How did you find out they were selling them... the Taylor Rentals around me are less than helpful.
That is a very nice coop and cute puppy.

I'm glad I decided to make it out of one crate instead of two and keep it as a grow out pen. While there are no chicks in I can use it to separate my rooster from the flock and give my girls a break. And yes, definitely needs to be portable in case of that chance we DO ever have to move!

Thanks, I'm still so devastated over it. I'm surprised I had any motivation to get this coop done today but glad I had something to get my mind off of it. Just kills me there were 6 of them! That's a large litter for being her first. And she had to be a moron and totally refuse them.

My ducklings are coming from my local feed store. I guess she had issues with getting a minimum for each breed/kind of poultry she was ordering, so she was waiting to fulfill that. Then they were charging her outrageous shipping fees which she refused because she would have to turn around and charge us that she didn't want to ask her customers for more money or something? IDK, I went in there last week and she said they are finally coming in on the 10th. I'm taking the day off so I can play all day! LOL I need a break!
