That reminds me the windows on the coop are open. I wasn't worried about the temps as they aren't that low. It's to late now to fret over it. It does need cleaning though and I did just buy a new bag of DE.Well after 2 hours of sleep wife wakes me up in a panic that the coop is wet. Guess the one window I wasn't worried about let in more rain than I wanted roosts was wet and the ground under was wet. Took DE to it all then went and got my spare bag of shaveings dumped them all over went. I mixed it all up and it wasn't as wet as I thought only part of floor that was wet at all was under food where it was scraped to bare floor. Hammered some wood over the window for now. Looks like I got some work to do this weekend. Been meaning to do some shutters or old style window coverings like my mother inlaws house has but been picking up too much over time to do anything with chickens this past week and half.
well back to bed
