Tab I dreaded that Sugar test the stuff they make you drink is so terrible.

Pyxis yes those are some that are on lockdown along with some BLRW, Naked Necks, and some Maran eggs.

TOB I have 2 that are deathly afraid of Thunder or Fireworks a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier and a Yorkshire terrier I have never slept through a storm since they were babies as they both bark and whine every time it rumbles and they are the 2 that sleep in my room .

Been a long hot tiring day went to Dr. for them to tell me yup nothing changed from last week you are going to need surgery again. Got some Turkeys, and some chickens along with another Rooster who I fought with as he was trying to kill my other Rooster even though my other rooster submitted and walked away this one was having nothing of that he kept going after the other one I finally pulled him when he was bleeding from the mouth. So he is now in time out in the New Barn all by himself. Am hoping he will settle down but I tried to put him in a separate fence next to the other and he was ramming the fence and then flew over to get at the other Rooster. Put him in the Barn Run and he got out of there and went right back to the Coop Run and was after my Rooster again. He is definitely determined. Cleaned all the brooders tonight plus did the normal household stuff am beat tonight. Hope everyone has a nice 4th of July.

thanks nutty i'm hopeing the few eggs I have hatch but not sure. They was all wiped when harvested. I never washed my hands before handleing them at all. I also have my incubator in my living room right next to my desk/couch.

Sadly I would be happy with even one chick but at the same time I don't want a lonely chick missing others and such.

This weeknd will be a busy one for me I have to build nest boxes in 2 coops and a brooder for the mud room. Then if I get time I have to build a rabbit hutch. The wife and kids found two lion head rabbits they like wich we don't know if male or female. So I get to build a divided hutch for them.

So glad I stocked up on all my layer feed yesterday.... When are the coupons good till? I'll need chick feed in a week or two.

Depends on when you print them, they are generated once you complete the survey thing.

My dog hates gunshots, fireworks and thunder. Early July is a bad time for her. The last few days have been good, she hasn't retreated to the tub. Last week she was spending most of her time there, to get her out I had to run water to start filling the bath. She has a thunder shirt, which she likes, but sometimes I'd still find her in the tub with the thundershirt.

I had a beagle that the vet gave me a prescription for valium.

I don't mind thunder, so don't know why all my animals hate it.

Happy Independace Day! Today my first born turns 7!!! I can't believe it. 7 years, feels like only 3 since I've had him. He's on his way up here with my parents. Everyone comes up today for the weekend to celebrate.

My lone Silkie egg is looking good! Everyone that comes up will get to experience their first views of an egg hatching! LOL

Happy 4th of July! How blessed we are to live in the United States of America! Hope everyone enjoys this holiday. Stay safe, and cool -- if possible!

Thanks to all for the feedback on their pups' experiences during storms and fireworks. Merlin seems none the worse for wear this morning, but I know this is a tough week for him. Up at our cottage, it is hardest on him, because their is no air conditioning, so windows stay open and noises are louder.

As mentioned by others here, Merlin lets us know when there is a storm or some weather incident going on, even if it is not in our immediate region. His whole demeanor changes. It's amazing how sensitive animals can be.

I will keep an eye on this Thunder Shirt, as some have had success with it. I know it is the same philosophy that helps some autistic people feel more secure -- that snug sensation. I guess it works with babies and swaddling, too, so who knows??

Happy B'day to your big - little 7 year old!

Time really flies, more and more each year of their life. Some times it makes me emotional, but certainly it's a very happy occasion!

Good luck with the egg that will share the same b'day!! How cool is that?
