NY chicken lover!!!!

ke5hde,

Cool little rehab project! I think it's neat that it has some history (even if it is one that might have seen a few Sears catalogs in its glory days, hehe)! Good luck completing it as you envision it.

Gramma,

Thanks for the informative link on keeping eggs. This is great to know!

Lynzi,

Love the name of your new roo almost as much as his funky and beautiful colors!

I think I'm going to attempt to make my next duck house out of pallets instead of getting more of these shipping crates from Taylor Rental. Googled some DIY duck houses today and that was one of the ways that came up. Here we go with the planning again!

OMFG! I knew it! I am pretty sure the Red Star is laying now!

The off white egg on the right is from Frenchie, the darker egg is the new layer. Can't wait to spend some time in the coop and find out who.

Thanks TOB, I'm sure it has some type of history, just not sure how far back. Our house is nearly 100yrs old and I'm sure the outhouse isn't that old but it's been around a while.
Lynzi, I've seen the pallet coops before and they seem pretty simple to build.
Breella, don't you just love a good mystery? I always love the first egg.
