NY chicken lover!!!!

Seven should kill everything that eats it ...Are you going to eat it too ?
Heres a natural remedy I found ..havent used it yet ..
I have almost lost one plant to those bugs ...GGGRRR
Going to try it I think it is too late for this plant though .

Actually, Sevin isn't really that bad. I'm not saying it's GOOD for you, but it won't hurt you if you eat a little. You can even use it right on your birds to kill lice and mites and if they eat a little when you do it it does them no harm. Plus, since it's a garden dust, made to go on gardens, I would think it would have to be safe to ingest a little of it. Again, not saying it's good, but it definitely won't kill you if you eat a little.

Also, is anyone interested in what appears to be a purebred khaki campbell drake? Someone dropped the poor thing off at my house last night in a tiny plastic tub with no food or water or even bedding, and the back of his head is all torn up and was bleeding until I tended to it. He's the friendliest thing ever, he must have been handled a lot, I just can't keep him since I sell purebred welsh harlequin hatching eggs and he'd kind of ruin that for me.

Congrats on the new egg layer!

Lynzi

Your new rooster is beautiful, I'm glad he's getting along with girls.

So your outhouse now ducks coop is great!

TAB & Rancher

I can understand about getting behind on all the post happens to me all the time. Life gets in the way of my internet lol.

If I didn't say it already congrats on your hen laying. Not sure if mine is laying yet found a slightly smaller egg. My silkies actually laid and egg in their new nest boxes yayy!

I put in my new wateres the home depot bucket with with nipples and it works great. My 5month old sex links are dwarfing my 10 month old barred rock they are big. My Barbanter is not bright she waits until it's too dark to see and tried to fly on the roost and fails miserably, so we have to do it for her. My son loves his Welsummer she is so sweet and loves him back.

Time for work have a good day

Not that I don't use it , I do on my squash, but please read the label. Even DE, and all grits have a warning against breathing the stuff. They contain Silica which is bad for your lungs. Wear a mask.

Quote: Am I misjudging the size ? or is it cut down some ?
Yes it's cut down. It's 4' to the peak and 4'x5' for floor space. I saved the bottom half for another project, probably a breeding pen for my cochins. Getting the ducks in last night proved to be a chore. I ended up having to put them in one at time. Not very easy with rarely handled ducks :-D Chris

Morning!
Only 63 here this morning! THIS is the kind of weather I'd like to be outside building a duck house in! Maybe I'll venture out later on to find some pallets.

I'm really starting to get aggravated with my birds and they're lack of laying as of late. I'm getting one egg every other day from the BR and thats it. Haven't gotten another silkie egg since the weekend. I don't know what else it could be. But to have 2 silkies and 2 orps all not laying just seems odd to me. What else would cause a bird to stop laying. These birds are all only a year old.

I found this on craigs list. If the netting works this is a STEAL !! But unfortunately its to far away for me to drive. Gorham,NY

If anyone is closer and can use the netting this is perfect. I love mine

Wahoo! Thank you, thank you, thank you for finding this! I've emailed them to see if it's still available. Gorham is close to me.

Morning everyone. I have 1 extra male guinea if any one wants him. Thought I had 2 extras but the other one turned out to be a girl. With 2 boys they're starting to get a little aggressive with the chickens, mainly my polish girls.
