NY chicken lover!!!!

30 miles south east of Albany, 5 miles from the Mass border. I don't see a trip 1/2 way across the state in my near future.

I'm taking a trip to CT in February and will have to pass your area there and on my way home. If you still have some drakes then or even some ducklings OR even some hatching eggs, I'd be willing to stop on my way home if you have any of the three available for sale.

I'm not sure who asked but Cortland is about 33 miles south of Syracuse via Rte 81

Hi Sheila.. Welcome you'll find it's very helpful here. I know that I like it alot. I'm Samantha and I live in DeRuyter. I only have some mutt eggs, but I'm sure that if you let everyone know what you are looking for they usually can help you out or point you in the right direction.

What do they look like and how big are they? They would be living with the chickens?
Thanks Stony. I'm not sure if I'm ready to drive that far. (you live over by the  Albany area right?) Perhaps in the spring. Unless you are making a trip over this was sometime (towards Syracuse)

If he has any in Feb and you are still looking for one and any additions, I don't mind picking one up for you.

I'll let a couple of extra drakes live then

I can start putting some aside for you. My buff Orp isn't a pure buff, she's an Orp x Blk Sex Link mix, but mostly buff in color.
That would be great! How much would you want for them? I have some ee, I could trade if you were interested. They are about 12 weeks old. Also have some baby chicks between 3-7 wks old. All are supposed to be pure reds but not sure which is which. Haha.

Walk a Mile in my Shoes - Joe South great song.
I reckon there are days when even you need a hug,

Gramma, I've been to Stony's house. And yes, the chickens are just to dress up the trees. He LOOOOVES his ducks. LOL
I do love the duckers. No pecking order issues and constant entertainment. I do also love the Sumatra hens. I was just standing outside today for a while watching the girls do their thing digging and eating whatever it was they were finding. My lrge breed chickens. Ehh, I won't get anymore of them. As they grow old and die they will not be replaced. Sumatra's and duckers for me
