NY chicken lover!!!!

I think I found some friends for my little lonely girl! A man about 20 minutes from me has week old EE chicks. I think I'll get 5 or 6. So yay, one crisis solved as long as I can keep this little one happy until Friday.

Well I should be able to keep my New Year resolutions since I've made them easier. 

1. get more chickens

2. get ducks

3. gain ten pounds

4.take more naps

5. eat more cookies

6.......................

I actually accomplished 3 of those today. I got more chickens. I took a nap and I finished off the white chocolate chip/macadamia nut cookies.

Yes, but as you said, Jeff is a real piece of work. I will no longer give them my business-- for anything, just because of him. He's a sexist, a drunk and he will over charge you any way he can. (as in ringing out the wrong products and then correcting the system later) As for the new store CM only remodels the stores on a 10 year cycle and the store by us still has I believe 3-4 years on its current model.


Which variety do you want? I assume layer but 15% or the 19%

You must have more experience with him than me. I will say that one time after paying for my feed they didn't have it. He offered me some other feed that was more expensive but crumble and not pellets. Higher protein perhaps I should have taken it. Might have improved laying. Who can say.

You are not the first person who refuses to shop there.

15 would be fine, they're on 16% layer pellets right now so that should be good.

Someone needed a bath...bad! She's so happy now and wanted to share her "selfie" with Rancher...

You really should warn a person before posting these things. Good thing I haven't had my dinner yet. Where do you put the batteries that thing ?

I've been stapling up some wind blocker feed bags myself.. let's hope it helps with the cold spell coming up!!

Pyxis, sorry about your chick =( I had one single chick this year too - thankfully that one was under a broody. Turned out to be a boy, naturally. A very pretty boy - the twin of his daddy.

I usually hatch NYD but too busy this year and no interesting eggs. I want more NN and easter eggers for my spring hatch this year. Just need to find one of you with eggs close enough to pick up and we're all set!! =)

We bought a Weider weight station years ago but never use it. I've posted it to CL a couple of times but no takers. I put the thing together myself too. I really should use it, considering what I spent. DW talks me into these things. She has a brand new bike in the garage that still has the tags on it. Ugh !

My luck is so bad I figure if I resolve to do something I may do the opposite and come out on the winning end. I once had a lottery scratch off that said do not collect $200, go directly to jail.

Same story here - we recently bought the newest model of the TotalGym - no one has touched it. Alright I've used it a handful of times but thats not what I want to do. I need to place it on CL but I won't get nearly the price we paid for it.
