NY chicken lover!!!!

Peggy the pics are great and your chicks look like they are doing well.

Rancher- so sad to hear about the health challenge for your DW. She sounds to be a very strong lady we are pulling for her and you too over here.

Jlaw- I know the feeling, my house is FULL of chicks right now and still hatching. I am in chicken heaven

but mercy the chick dust.

My Orloff are going on 5 and 6 weeks old now. I had to get the big feeder and water goodie now all they do is eat. Be happy when they can get outside... any day now!

Silkies,Cream Legbar, Bresse, and the Barnies are 5 weeks. Growing like weeds. The Cream Legbar I hatched a roo and 2 hens was happy for that!

On the Silkies I ended up with 2 blue splash and one buff with blue splash that is gonna look really sweet. Another Buff and 4 bright whites. I have a couple little black black little Silkies I got at Natureberry. I'd like to try and breed to some Calico once I figure out how. Some of these are going to be bearded and some not. I can see roo in a few already.

I think I may have 2 roo's and one hen of the Bresse - wow they are big and mean already.

All 3 have nice blue legs starting to change.

I think I have a roo and 2 hens of the Brabanter. Funny chickens they act like little pups.

My 3 Mottle Java girls are getting so so big and the black is coming nicely on them now. They are the sweetest ever. Kind to all the chicks and so calm..

Managed to hatch 5 nice RIR from the eggs from Fred last week. Was hoping for a couple of the Barred Rocks but will try again. The usps really manhandled them so I'm happy to get those babies.

My tiny little single hatch Orloff is doing really well now but still is not any bigger than the RIR or the tiny black Silkies. Midget.

I bothered them all before bed and got some pictures. My picture taking skills need improvement. One day I will grab DH and have him hold them for me he'll love it.

I'm hoping that Brabanter with the big topknot is a cockerel.

Ugh, we are actually home (we don't have anybody to celebrate Easter with, lol), but I can't let him go *just* yet. I need to see what hatches on the 29th. I might still need him if I don't get a few chicks out of him from the eggs I have cooking. Can you wait just a bit?

o I forgot to label. This little one is a Russian Orloff and the big black and white is a much older Mottled Java Pullet. That little Orloff pullet is very sweet she always snuggles up to the Java and the Java mother all the chicks already.

The Orloff are 4 and 5 weeks old now and getting really pretty. They act like little pups. The Brabanter is the one laying in back there, she is coming around and acting more civilized now.

I sure can. You aren't going to chickenstock are you? How close to Rome are you? If I don't have one by then I could get him then. Sorry to hear you're spending Easter alone. We normally would but my fiancé decided last minute to try and repair his relationship with his mother. It was one of his fathers last wishes before he passed that he try and make things better. So we showed up unannounced and it seems to be going ok. Of course now my families ****** cause we bailed on Easter. Fortunately we live close to them and they are more forgiving than his mom.
