This reminded me of my kids crib. It had the toe pull typer that lowered the side. My middle child would wait until the younger one was standing up and leaning on the rail, and then pull the lever, the side would fall down, and the baby would fall out on her head. Took me a while to figure out how she was falling out, until one day I caught the middle one doing it...got rid of that crib in a hurry....laugh about it now, but I was mortified when I saw it happen...We got some snow overnight. Kids got a snow day. We are at about 8 inches now but the weather man said that there might be more snow coming so who know what they final total will be, expected around 12 or so. Went out to shovel the chicken run. I really need a small snow blower to do it. Maybe next year. They weren't happy that they had to stay cooped up this morning longer then normal, but they wouldn't have been very happy with all that snow. They have barley a third left of the run that I haven't piled with snow. Really need it to warm up. Glad that I still have a bunch of that wood chip stuff cause I have a feeling with all this snow it is going to be a wet spring.
Fredo and his girls have adjusted nicely. He is a big baby. The girls will come out right away in the morning to eat and drink, He takes a while before he remembers that he has to come out to eat and drink.
Stumbled across an idea when I was looking for something to use our old baby crib for. I was planning on turning it into a desk or something, but this is such a better idea!
I can so do this! Trying to decide if I should make it into a chick brooder, Breeding pair coop, or a rabbit hutch. My sister said that I can have her crib too. And with Drop side cribs illegal to sell for a baby, I'm sure that I can get some more real cheap or even for free! I so can see a small pigeon house...I can see a whole line of these in the yard...DH and I better get the old barn cleared, I'm going to need the space to set them all up along with my Turkey coop!!
Trying to be happy right now. Got some sad news that my husband favorite aunt passed this morning. I hate having to call him when he is out on the road. I try not to call with bad news if I can help it, but I wouldn't want to be told on Thursday that my aunt died on Monday. She lives just down the road and we love to pop in for a visit from time to time. Her husband grew up in our house. It was his family farm when it was built. We will miss her terribly!
