NY chicken lover!!!!

All great advice - and each roo will be slightly different - I think the key is .....

For all but some of the most horrid roos - there is a way that will show them their place ! :)

I've had great luck with all of mine ... and when I say cuddle - that only works because I do NOT otherwise touch them or pet them or rock them, I want them to be lookout roos .... so to them it so very embarrassing .... one good cuddle session for a roo usually lasts 6 months or forever from the ones I've had.

Wow!!! you certainly were "reading" me right!

great idea and an easy one to do as well....after this snow today and tomorrow, I'll put the hay, dry leaves, etc. down....and they can all sunbathe...

yes, the local Hudson River ducks come up to their little shelter I put together for them......and they visit the chicks in their coops....it is so funny to see the chicks walk out and wait until the ducks are finished eating and checking out the chick 'digs'....then the chicks calmly walk back in....I always compliment them that they are very hospitable!

Thanks again....and hoping not too much snow coming to all of us in upstate NY this w/e....so feel sorry for our Boston area friends....

From Syracuse. Will you be coming to the Chickenstock in May?

I thought that I may have to eventually clean off their roof, but not sure where it is going to go.

My kids come out to eat and drink..and especially get some corn and any goodies that I bring them!

Hope that is everyone is having a good Valentines day. Ours is turning out to not be so great. Hubby decided that we needed to go look at a mini van that he saw on line. So we hurried up and loaded in my car to drive the 90 minutes to look at it...Problem is we didn't make it. We were about 20 minutes from the house and got into an accident.

We are all okay. I hit my head on the visor and my shoulder is super sore right now. The kids were shaken up but fine, but my car is in rough shape! Roads were crappy and the brakes locked up and we had no where to go so the passenger side front corner of our car hit the drivers rear corner of the SUV. Not much damage to his vehicle, but my car is dyeing. The radiator decided it needed to pour all the antifreeze on the ground. DH is getting it towed home right now.
Happy Valentines day right?!

Glad everyone's ok. I won't go out in this weather unless I have to - work & food shopping, that's it!! It took me 20 mins to get out of my driveway yesterday

.. our neighbor came by today and plowed for us thankfully. Not doing this next year - gonna buy a snow blower. So much for saving right?? Will your car make it do you think? Got my fingers crossed for ya!

Snow is a good insulator so only take off what you think you might need to.
