I have 8 reds that hatched the same day. Now that one has laid should I start lock down for a few weeks to make sure they lay in the boxes ? Or how do I train them?

Congratulations to ya. What an amazing feeling . However one became 2. 30 minutes after Fuzzy laid Silly followed suit and laid in the same spot.

My chickens are 17 weeks old I purchased 6 of them and ended up with 2 cockerels now and they are starting to fight... I originally didn't want any roosters but decided I will keep one of them. I'm looking to rehome my buff orpington . Any ideas who or how to do this . I really dont want to kill this beautiful bird

Well the other day I purchased purina scratch like I normally do at TSC. I opened it up and fed the girls a little then went to work. That evening I went to check on feed and when I looked in the scratch container, the bag and scratch was covered with weevil bugs.
This waa the first time I had ever seen them so I had to look up on BYC what they even were,.. Gross. They completely covered my hand when I pulled out the scoop.
I had to dump the bag, I could not keep putting my hand in there to get scratch, plus they were hopping into my feed containers.

TSC refunded my money but said they were use to them. They are all over in their back storage room.

Again...YUCK!
