Anyone want a silkie rooster? I have too many. He's been raised with young children handling him so he's a pretty stand up dude. He's almost 4 months old. I tried the 4H kids and craigslist but no takers yet.

Seems like you can't find a Flying Saucer when you need one, huh? Hope you folks wear your tin foil hates.

Wow ! She looks huge ........................ turtle soup
I prefer bbq sauce and low and slow on the grill.
Another good way is batter like fried chicken and fry, then wrap the fried pieces in foil and roast in a 350 degree oven for about two hours.
Have to save the back strap tenderloins though, in the ribs of the top shell, cut the ribs out with snips each side up through, two nice white meat fillets, slow poach in butter, mmm.

I let these two do their thing and leave, didn't feel like bothering them. Pretty sure the first one came from our pond, covered in duckweed, second probably came from neighbors pond.

I feed the duckweed to the chickens all summer, duckweed is high in protein and they love it. Usually scoop it up with a pool skimmer along with some tadpoles, little frogs, salamanders, leaches, with the duckweed, fill a half a five gallon pail and dump it in their run daily, they love it.
