I gave up on 'free roosters' on craigslist. either it was a shady person OR they'd never show up. One guy DID show up then emailed me a month or two later to say he thought he was getting 'chickens' but these all seem to be 'boys'. /sigh.

I have had folks take free roosters. Generally I try to give pullet chicks with rooster chicks.

These roosters are dinner size.

Gave away four marans hens today. Two I know were laying maybe more, but they had to go.

Anyhow I'm not up to driving to West Widfield to the auction. It's just to far. I did have a friend who went so I'd just give her the roosters and she could keep the money.

YESTERDAY, I ate the last of the yogurt given to me by the head of the school cafeteria. Wegmans brand. Blueberry individual cartons. It tasted just fine and I did not get sick but here's what I think you should know. The "Best By" date was 4/28/16. I do put it in the fridge upside down.

It's been said that 40% of the food we throw away is still good.

Remember these dates are NOT federally regulated. They are set by the manufacturer or the store.

It makes sense for them to date them with a short shelf life because you'll toss it and buy more.

Best Buy date is exactly that - tastes best by that date ..
After that date it is not spoiled ..

I don't have eggs but I have pullets, and 2 very young Roos. One looks like it may have a straight comb which is hard to get with the new Rees line.

So I just cracked open a duck egg from my duck that my chicken had mated with and there was blood in it...that could have been my chuck

Also could be a part of the chicken or ducks uterus ..
Sometimes they lose some of their lining

Many items are listed multiple places ..Ebay craigslist facebook Web stores
I would be more apt to buy it off ebay than Cragslist ..
As Ebay Guarantees your purchase ..if you are not satisfied ..
and paying through paypal they never see your financial information
