I heard about this yesterday. I was wondering if it is someone we know from here. Please note: there are lower wattage heat lights online. 250 lights are too hot even for your brooder. IMO they should not be sold nor advised for brooding chicks.PLEASE DONT HEAT YOUR CHICKEN COOP

I thought my hens had stopped laying, BUT today I notice a hen in the bale of hay, sort of nest like sitting. As it was when she moved out there were six eggs there. I thought it strange since my dels lay well in the winter. Usually.
I think the squirrels are getting in the coop but not sure. I will be setting a trap and see what happens.
