NY chicken lover!!!!

My now-fat evil orange cat gets purina gentle formula dry food free choice, because otherwise at feeding time they both would gulp down dinner then throw up all over. And the old black and white cat with hyperthyroidism gets that plus a small amount of canned food, whatever he will finish as we watch him. Otherwise evil orange comes in and hogs down the can food. Really need to get rid of the orange cat, he has been ****** off ever since I brought home a human baby. Human child is now 6. Hisses at child, dog, people, hides most of the time, takes out his anger on all the woodwork in the house when no one is around. Don't want to stress out the old black cat though, not that they interact much.

Orange cats are trouble. Mine is a real PITA. It's a good thing he's lovable.

HA Ha I Think it is the inside of the cat that makes trouble ...Not the color of the outside

Former Mailman , You gave him a Backyard chickens card ...he lives not very far from you ..
I might remember him. I try to be friendly so there have been a few folks here. I'm sure I'll see him again.

Chicken people can be some of the nicest people I meet.

Quarantine set up! Hooray.

@rancher hicks
If I order Birchen Marans eggs, would you be interested in purchasing chicks @ chickenstock or around that time? I don't want to commit the money if I only want to keep 1 or 2 chicks. If more than that hatch I would ask $7-$10/chick. I'm getting other dark brown egg layers from Sandhill so I might skip the Marans this year. I know I'm purchasing Ameraucana eggs and Brabanter eggs. If you're committed to the breed, I can make room in my incubator for the Birchen eggs. I'm only about an hour from you.

DH and I went around assessing trees and barn and yard and garden plans.
Love this weather break!

Glad to see everyone is enjoying the good weather! I made the most of it the last couple of days coop cleaning. I swear I have moved at least 40# poop

. I found a couple of holes in the big coop so covered them with wire after dropping a 'tidbit' or two down there.
If the weather co-operates it will be the rabbit house tomorrow and hopefully set up the electric fence for them
