NY chicken lover!!!!

Sorry. My flock is not quite sure what to think of their new gated community, with all the dog crates in the coop but everyone is doing well tonight. Annie was hatched by another broody but the broody pushed the 2 chicks out when they hatched. I picked the chicks up thinking they were gone but as I was filling feeders with the chicks in my hand little Annie half way opened her eyes and I quickly put her under the other broody and she made it and so she is my little orphan Annie

Nope she's not at the bottom. She's only 7 weeks old but was raised by a hen. For some reason she just loves being with people. She usually is nestled down on top of my hat, lol. Hoping she stays like this right up to adulthood.

Hi there!
North western NJ popping in, hope that's okay since we're neighbors and all...

I’ve posted this in some other threads, thought I’d give it a shot here too...

This last season we took in a drake that needed a home, and shortly thereafter lost a few ducks to a fox. Now our ratio is skewed and we need to rehome some drakes. We have a Cayuga, a Rouen, and a Black Swedish. All are fertile and ready to meet the duck of their dreams ❤️ Free to a good home, we love these guys and know they are not happy in a situation with too many other males. Happy to send pictures if wanted.

I actually do have a next door neighbor from NJ, Lol, retired and moved up here, best neighbors ever. Before they moved up here full time I had a gazillion ducks trespassing into their huge pond. I have a pond also, but theirs is bigger and the ducks kept checking theirs out. They loved them. Also had a bunch of guinea hens kept trespassing over on their side, they loved them also. Can't complain about neighbors that tolerate my bird 'addiction'. I'm sure they will have some of their own now that they are up here permanent.
Good luck with your duck rehomeing, and :welcome
