NY chicken lover!!!!

Hi guys. I’ll be hatching some chicks with my class In April 2022 & have 2 sources set up to take a handful each when we are done. Anyone interested in a couple? They’ll mostly all be straight run as only 2 eggs, the BSL, are autosex breeds. I am getting a variety of true breeds & a handful of EE plus 2 BSL. No barnyard mixes. I’ll be giving them away at about 2 weeks old but could brood them until about 4 weeks if necessary. Looking for a backup to take them in case one of my sources back out. I am located about halfway between Syracuse & Albany. Please message if you are interested! No guarantees there will be any but I’d rather have too many places to send them than not enough. 😊

I have a beautiful 13 week old black australorp cockeral. He is very friendly and has been handled since 5 weeks old. Wanting to get rid of him because I was buying 6 hens and I got 5 hens and this cockeral. I’m from Tupper Lake, NY if someone is interested in him please let me know!

Yeah. That's seemingly the closest I've found on any social networking site. There are a ton of people in the area that keep poultry. But not many of them get on social media like this. Many get support and advice from neighbor farmers or friends that have experience.
I’m about an hour and 40 from Chazy

You're the closest I've found on here! If I didn't have two roosters now I'd take him! Two roos and 18 hens...I can't afford to take in another cockerel. 😪

This is our australorp mix hen we named mama...she went broody 3 times this year so the name is fitting! We won't get rid of her. She's such a nice girl. Skittish, but sweet. Not aggressive in the least bit when broody when I went to check on the eggs she sat on!

Anyone live near Schoharie county? I’m having some serious issues in my village due to a neighbor and am looking for a temporary place to house my chickens until i move. Nothing is set in stone yet. So i dont need a place right away. I’m trying to get a variance but even if i get it I’ll only be able to keep six hens. So I’m looking for someone who might let me set up a separate area from your birds for my birds. Feel free to PM me for more details.
