One can never have too many roos... kidding. I too am roo heavy, but fortunately have ways to seperate them... I'll just keel over and die if my three new babies turn out to be roos, their legs have me worried

All together now: Weathermen lie! First they said 4-6" of wet snow. Then they said 6-8" of powdery snow. A little more in the hills. Guess what. We got 18" of fluffy snow and it's still snowing. Not to mention the drifts. All of which seem to be in front of every door. It took an hour to clear out the front of the coop. Then the little stinkers didn't even want to come out! I left the door open any way. The way I figure it, They've got built in down coats, what could it hurt. Well the only one it hurt was me. I had to shovel the snow out of the way to close the door.

Enough snow already.

Yah my 35 minute commute home last night took an hour and forty-five with an obnoxious tailgater who clearly thought his Caddie SUV was indestructable... should have let him hit me, I could have had a new SUV

Hear, hear Omani!! Enough already with the snow. Here in Central NY we got at least 2 feet of wet crud!! The chickens watched me shoveling and I swear I could hear them laughing!! 24 days till spring!

jerseygirl1 you misunderstood me. I meant 18" today. The forcast was for today. It started snowing yesterday and will probably keep on snowing until Sunday. We live in the southern tier and are used to snow. But how can the weatherman be so far off? I think I'll go back to looking out the window and Grandma's trick knee to predict the weather. Just as accurate.

Well all I know is I have to repair my run asap. I had tarps over the top and like a dummy didn't have a slanted top and it has crashed due to the weight of the snow. Nearly killed myself raking the snow off. Fortunately there were no fatalities. Next year we'll probably get hit w/ that global warming thing. Oh well I got chickens how bad can life be?

Wow!! Day 4 with no power

I am at the laundry mat now & am thankful for a generator... it has helped save my insanity..
I see we haven't heard from Amy or Kathy so I am guessing they lost power...
I had 9 eggs in a lil bator two hatched Wednesday I think.. & are doing well but no more I don't
think I will get more but will let them stay a few days more
